Á'a:líya Warbus opposes the Land Acknowledgement Prohibition Act, denouncing it as contrary to reconciliation efforts in B.C., saying it distracts from hard work. She urges people to engage in hard conversations about reconciliation and be on the right side of history.

Dallas Brodie introduced the Land Acknowledgement Prohibition Act to ban public-sector land acknowledgments that "deny the sovereignty of the Crown within British Columbia or that attribute collective guilt to individuals based on race, ancestry or the actions of Canadian historical figures," opposing such acknowledgments in public institutions.

He opposes attempts to erase First Nations history in B.C. and supports following First Nations traditions — including making land acknowledgements — as part of reconciliation, arguing these practices counter historical erasure and uphold Indigenous traditions.
